Jaconda "Jackie" A. Coluccio FRAMINGHAM, MA - Jaconda "Jackie" A. Coluccio, 96, of Rome, passed away Tuesday December 11, 2012, at the home of her son in Framingham, MA. She was born in Rome, NY, on July 29, 1916, daughter of the late Adolfo and Maria Lamandia Adolfi. Jackie graduated from Rome Free Academy. On June 1, 1941, she married Samuel S. Coluccio, Sr. in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away January 22, 2005. Jackie dedicated her life to her family. She lived her long life with passion, love and unwavering dedication for her best-friend and husband, Sam, and their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and large, close extended family. Jackie had a dynamic, ever-engaging personality; she had a natural warmth and a quick wit. She was a consummate hostess for many wonderful dinner parties and family gatherings at her home on Sleepy Hollow Road, to which she welcomed so many of us with grace and care and joy. She also dedicated her extra time to supporting the elderly in the Rome community in her earlier years. Jackie had an unceasingly active mind through to her last days. She was an avid reader, lover of music, consumer of medical trade journals and the Wall Street Journal at times. Jackie has left a very special legacy to her family and one that will remain with all of us forever. And while we miss her now on this Earth, we take some comfort in our loss knowing how much she longed to be reconnected with Sam (aka Popo, Uncle Sam) since his death in 2005 and was blessed to be able to join him in Heaven this past Tuesday, one day before what would have been his 97th birthday. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Patti and Tony Perretta, New Hartford NY, Cindy and Lauren Weissman, Bryn Mawr, PA.; a son and daughter-in-law Sam and Ann Coluccio, Framingham, MA.; six grandchildren, Rocky and his wife Susan Perretta, New York Mills, Toni Lynn and her husband David Swinson, Webster, NY., Kara Coluccio Bern and her husband Chad Bern, New York City, Hilary and her husband Brett Paulsrud, Boston, Corinne and her husband Brian Acampora, Wellesley, MA., Kate Weissman and her finance' Matt Eonta, Boston.; seven great-grandchildren, Carlie and Adriana Perretta, Claudia, Anya, and T.J. Swinson, Penelope Bern, and August Acampora. Also surviving are her very dear sisters Katherine "Kattie" Retrosi and Marie "Babe" Perry both of Rome; a brother Anthony Adolfi, Scottsdale, AZ.; and several nieces and nephews, including two cherished nephews Frank and Rick Retrosi. She was predeceased by her husband Sam; seven brothers, Henry, Nazie, Frank, Joseph, Albert, Adolph Jr. and Richard Adolfi. Funeral services will be held on Monday, at 10:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc. 218 W. Court St. and at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery.
