Mary F. Seccurra Mary F. Seccurra, 94, of Rome, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at The Rome Center. She was born in Rome, NY on October 1, 1918, daughter of the late Leonard and Enrichetta Belmont Costello. Mary attended Rome schools, On October 24, 1942 she married John Seccurra in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away on November 3, 2003. Mrs. Seccurra retired from the former W.T. Grant Company. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, where she served as a lector and was a member of the Marion Guild. Surviving are a son, Sam Seccurra, Rome; three grandchildren, Dena Seccurra, Gettysburg, PA, Eric Chodnicki, Bel Aire, MD, Christine Jones, Clinton; five great-grandchildren, William Savage, Felicia and Alaina Seccurra, Andrew and Katharine Chodnicki; and a great-great- grandson, Lyrit James Wilson. Also surviving are a sister, Olivia Nappi, Liverpool; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Rosemary Seccurra; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Seccurra; two sisters, Caroline LoRusso and Antoinette Zoccolillo; two brothers, Frank and Cozy Castello; and a grandson-in-law, David Jones. The family would like to express a special thank you to the entire staff at The Rome Center for their care and compassion shown to Mary. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 8:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc, 218 W. Court St., and at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.
