Lois Marie Nelson Armstrong Lois Marie Nelson Armstrong, 81, of Rome, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Faxton-St. Luke's Hospital, New Hartford. She was born in Utica, NY on May 23, 1931, a daughter of the late Edwin J. and Teresa Ebert Nelson. Lois was a graduate of Oriskany High School, and worked at Utica Drop Forge and as a teacher's assistant at Vienna 7th Day Adventist Church School before opening the Better Living Center in Rome. Surviving are two sons, Harry Armstrong of Orlando, FL, and his wife Debbi, and Aaron (Jim) Armstrong, of Rome, and his wife Rene; six grandchildren, Angel and her husband Joshua Blanchard, CA; Anna, Kelly and Faith Armstrong, Orlando, FL; Joy and Lincoln Armstrong, Rome. Also surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Dottie Nelson, Rome; and many nieces and nephews, including a special grand- niece Marie Coar of Taberg; and a special friend Dr. April Champen. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Dunn; her oldest son, Paul Dunn; her second husband, Howard "Hezzie" Armstrong; and two sisters, Marion and Betsy Nelson. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at the Rome 7th Day Adventist Church on Sutliff Road. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Rome Humane Society in Lois' name at P.O. Box 4572, Rome, NY 13442-4572. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St.
