Charles A. “Chuck” Goodrich

1964 – 2024

 

Charles A. “Chuck” Goodrich, 59, of Rome, N.Y. passed away on Tuesday January 30, 2024, at Rome Health, after a courageous battle with cancer. His loving wife, sister, and brother-in-law at his bedside.  He was born in Rome, N.Y. on August 08, 1964, son of the late Charles J. and Betty Jane Rossi Goodrich. Chuck graduated from RCH in 1982. On February 14, 2008, he married Tammy Boehlert, in Rome, with friends and family present.

Chuck was a huge fan of the N.Y. Giants, New York Mets, Syracuse Orange, and NASCAR. He loved to be outside with his wife just relaxing and listening to music. They often vacationed in Lake George, where he said was his “paradise.”

Surviving besides his wife, Tammy is a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Kevin Sweeney, Victor, N.Y., two children from a previous marriage, five grandchildren, as well as a niece and nephew. Chuck also leaves behind a step-daughter, and his precious fur baby, Roxie Rose, who was always by his side or following him around wherever he went.

He was predeceased by his parents, Charles J. and Betty, and a brother, Ed Goodrich.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Charles’s name may be made to St. Jude, at Memorials Processing, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude PL, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.

A Celebration of Life for Charles will be held at a later date. Per Chuck’s wishes, there are no calling hours or services.
