Albert J. Mastraccio, Sr.
Albert J. Mastraccio, Sr., 93, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford. He was born in Rome, NY on May 11, 1923 son of the late Frank and Angeline Zavno Mastraccio. Al was a graduate of Rome Free Academy, Class of 1941. On September 14, 1946, he married, Lucy M. Barretta, in St. John the Baptist Church. She passed away, January 13, 2014. He retired as a Manager Analyst from Griffiss Air Force Base after thirty two years of employment. Al was a former employee of General Cable. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church and former member of: Acme Club, Rome Elks Club, Toccolana Club, San Gregoria Club and South Rome Senior Citizens.
Surviving is a son, Dr. Albert J. Mastraccio, Jr. and his wife the Honorable Anne Marie Mastraccio, Sanford, Maine, two grandchildren: Carla Mastraccio, Boston, MA, and Joseph Mastraccio, Shapleigh, Maine, two great grandsons: Michael and Maxwell. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Lucy, four brothers: Joseph, Armand, Paul and William Mastraccio.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date at St. John the Baptist Church. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation at www.macular.org.

Memorial Mass
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church.
Visitation
There are no calling hours.
Final Resting Place
Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
