Richard M. Kenjarski Richard Kenjarski, 71, of Rome, passed away Monday, December 19, 2016 at Rome Memorial Hospital. Dick, a lifelong Roman, was born on October 3, 1945 to the late Stanley and Anna Burneko Kenjarski. Dick worked at Kelsey Hayes prior to beginning a long career of almost 28 years working for New York State, first at the Rome Developmental Center and later for Central New York DSO. He served as a volunteer firefighter for the Lake Delta Fire Department. Dick loved being outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing, or playing in many golf leagues. Dick loved baseball. He played it often growing up, was a little league coach, and spent many a summer night watching American Legion Baseball games. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Mark and Susan (Strom) Kenjarski; his son, Christopher Kenjarski; a grandson, JR Kenjarski; former wife, Carolyn Kenjarski. Also surviving are a brother and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Joanne Kenjarski; and Mary Kenjarski. He was predeceased by his brother, Stanley Kenjarski. Graveside services will be held in the spring at St. Mary's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the American Heart Association.
