Obituary of Catherine Amici

Catherine Amici Catherine Amici, 88, of Rome, passed away Tuesday November 29, 2016 at Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born in Rome, NY on January 10, 1929, daughter of the late Vincent and Angela Cortese George. Catherine attended Rome schools. On June 5, 1947 she married Thomas W. Amici Sr. in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away October 24, 1994. Catherine was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren and flower gardening. Surviving are a son and daughter in law Russell and Jan Amici, Rome, five grandchildren Katine and her husband Neal Hawkins, Holland Patent, Kevin and his wife Holly Amici, Rome, Krista Kaskiw and husband Richard Kaskiw, Frankfort, Sarah Amici, Brockport, NY, and Kara Vasquez , six great grandchildren, one great great grand daughter and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband Tom, and a son, Thomas W. Amici, Jr. who passed away October 8, 1994, three brothers, Anthony George, Frank George and Gregory George, three sisters, Clara Capponi, Mary DelPiano, and Julie Ellinger. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd. Rome. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. There are no public calling hours. Private family hours will take place at 10:00 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
