Jeanette M. (Cicero) Davis

1946 - 2026

Jeanette M. Davis, 80, beloved mother, sister and aunt, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 14th, 2026, at Wynn Hospital, with her loving family by her side, after a long and courageous battle with various illnesses. She was born in Rome, NY on February 4th, 1946, daughter of Ada Falconio-Cicero and Salvatore Cicero, Sr. Jeanette was a 1964 graduate of Rome Free Academy. She worked for the Rome City School District for many years.

Jeanette is survived by her loving children, Stephen Kenworthy (Kathleen), Angela Lanston (Walter) and Christopher Davis (Erin), her cherished grandchildren: Emily Kenworthy, Jaeden Kenworthy, Brileigh Kenworthy, Alyssa Lanston, Alaina Lanston, bonus grandchildren: Alexis Lanston and Jordan Furner, three step-grandchildren, brother in law, Francis (Frank) Jennie, nieces Michele Hutchins (Scott), Audra Szkotak (Brian) and Heather Gualtieri (Patrick). She was predeceased by her father, Salvatore Cicero, Sr., mother Ada Falconio-Cicero, brother Salvatore Cicero Jr., sister Maryann Mussells, sister Linda Jennie, nieces Gina Mussells and Kimberleigh Mussells and several aunts, uncles and cousins. The entire Cicero family is now united in heaven.

Jeanette will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She was a commendable caregiver for many years. She loved to be with her family, had an amazing sense of humor, LOVED to shop, was a wonderful cook and was affectionately known by nicknames such as “Netty”, “Ned” and “Skip”.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday July 23, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd. Rome, N.Y. 13440. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., prior to the service. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, lower East Dominick Street, Rome, N.Y.  at 10:00 a.m. on Friday July 24, 2026.
