Edward P. Zigrino went home to be with Jesus on August 31, 2017. He was born in Rome, NY, September 22, 1950. Ed was the son of Joseph A. and Beverly Ann (Semo) Zigrino. He was a member of Life Church in which he served on the Nursing Home Ministry, the Prison Ministry and he was part of the Music Ministry Team. He also ran the sound system for church services. Ed worked as a tool and die maker before he pursued the study of theology at Elim Bible Institute & College. He enjoyed gardening, he was an avid fisherman and a diehard NY Yankee and Syracuse fan. Although he was challenged with life-long medical issues, Ed never wavered from his faith and used every opportunity to draw others to Christ. Surviving besides his mother, Beverly Zigrino, of Rome, he has three brothers, Joseph, John (Cindy), Harry (Fran) and three sisters, Darlene (Zigrino) Page, Fran Zigrino, and Robin (Zigrino) Calandra; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph A. Zigrino, maternal grandparents, Doris & Harry Semo, and a nephew, Joseph Zigrino, Jr. Graveside Services will be held Friday, September 8, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., at St. John the Baptist Church Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd. A celebration of life will be held on Edward's birthday (September 22, 2017) at Life Church, 1110 Black River Blvd. at 6:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Life Church Youth Program. The family would like to thank the faithful visitors, the many prayer warriors, and the caring staff of the Colonial Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
