Minnie Corigliano Minnie Corigliano, 85, of Rochester, NY, formerly of Rome, entered into the arms of our Lord, on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. She was born in Rome, NY, daughter of the late Frank and Catherine DeCristo Gatto on March 17, 1932. Minnie attended Rome Schools. On February 11, 1950 she married, Jerry J. Corigliano in St. John the Baptist Church, a blessed union of fifty-eight years. He passed away March 1, 2008. Minnie retired from Rome Developmental Center. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Rome. Minnie loved watching her children and grandchildren, along with watching them play and participate in sports. She also loved shopping with her daughter. Minnie loved going out for dinner and loved to dress with the new style and loved jewelry, makeup and perfume. She kept her daughter in style. Whenever she won bingo at Westwood Commons, she always picked gifts for the great grandchildren. We will miss not going and visiting mom daily. Minnie was very much loved by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a great wife, mom, grandmother and great grandmother. She was our best friend, a tough mom and most of all, our idol. We love her very much and we will all miss her very much. Her son, Jerry Jr., was her "Poopsey" and Jerry will miss all of her phone calls. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law: Jerry J. and Carolyn Corigliano, Rome, a daughter and son-in-law: Melinda and Louis P. Ferrari, Sr., Rochester, NY, four grandchildren: Shannon and her husband Mike McPherson, Rocky and his wife Lyndsay Corigliano, Louis Jr. and his wife Melissa Ferrari, Giavanna and her husband Brian Rumsey, eight precious great grandchildren: Michael McPheron, Mikayla McPheron, Louie and Camilla Ferrari, Gemma and Gio Rumsey, Ayden and Madyson Corigliano. She was predeceased by her loving husband Jerry, a brother, Angelo Gatto, a sister, Josephine Gatto Stewart and several other family members and friends. We would like to express a special thank you to Westwood Commons and Latta Road Nursing Home for all their loving care shown to our mother, Minnie, which will always be appreciated.
